3 Most Common Reasons People Put Off A Boudoir Photoshoot

Have you ever wanted to do a boudoir photoshoot, but kept putting it off for various reasons? You’re not alone, this blog post is for you. I’ve compiled the most common reasons that people give saying they’re not ready to have a photoshoot with me, along with my rebuttal on why now is actually the perfect time to have one!

  1. “I don’t know how to pose, I’m so awkward.”

You don’t have to worry about that, because I’m with you from beginning to end and I’m going to show you what to do and how to do it. Not only because I have experience in modeling, but because I’ve been doing this for years and I know how to make you feel and look fierce! I even get into the poses to show you step by step what to do. Not only with posing your body, but also how to soften your face and what facial expressions look the best. I want you to be comfortable and relaxed and have a really great time. Enjoy the moment! I recently just had a client who was super nervous, but by the end of the day she was so surprised when she saw the images! She couldn’t believe that was her!

  1. “I want to lose weight first.”

If your reason to put off doing a session with me is that you want to lose weight, that can always be a reason to say no to things. Whether it’s, “I need to lose some weight” or, “I’m not at my goal weight yet” or, “just a few more pounds”….girl. You are gorgeous right now. Let me show you. If anything is going to make you feel good about yourself and love your body just as you are, it’s a session with me. 😉 Plus if you’re taking these photos for someone special that you’re with, they’re with you and love you just the way that you are, you should too.

  1. “I can’t afford this right now.”

Another common reason people put off doing a shoot with me is because they can’t afford to do it right now. Women often feel the burden to prioritize everyone around them and never put themselves first. Especially when they are mothers. They feel like there are already so many expenses that need to be taken care of before they can do a shoot. What I do to help with that is offer pre-payment plans. You don’t have to worry about figuring out a special last minute payment. You can schedule your shoot out 12 or even 18 months in advance and have plenty of time. That way when your session rolls around, it’s already paid and you don’t have to worry about it. You just get to show up, get your hair and make up done, have access to the client wardrobe, and spend a day tailored specifically to you, for once. If you have any questions regarding the payment plans you can always call me for a free consultation.

Have I inspired you to prioritize yourself and do something that makes you feel sexy and powerful? Let me know, I’d love to hear from you.

I am a Colorado-based photographer who loves to capture amazing photos. I am originally from Colombia, I now live in the front range with my husband and my 3 small children. I began my creative expression as an industrial and interior designer but now I express these skills with a passion to capture boudoir photography. I was not always working behind the scenes, I also have experience in front of the camera. I worked as a model in Colombia for years supplying me with the personal experience required to expertly guide my clients to optimal body poses and facial expressions.
